An old couple celebrating 50th wedding anniversary

A husband and wife are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They’re sitting on the porch, holding hands, watching the sunset.

The husband turns to his wife and says, “Remember when we first got married?

You were so beautiful, and I couldn’t take my eyes off you.”

She smiles and says, “Aw, you’re still sweet after all these years.”

He nods thoughtfully, then adds, “You used to cook me the most amazing meals every day, and now I can’t get you to even make me a sandwich.”

The wife laughs and says, “Well, you know, after 50 years, I figured you were just used to being spoiled by now.”

He grins, then asks, “And do you remember those long walks we used to take together?

Hand in hand, chatting about life?” She nods, “Of course.”

He pauses and says, “Well, I think we should do that again. Maybe tomorrow.”

She looks at him for a moment, then says, “You know what, darling? I’d love to.

But only if you make the first move. You’re still the man I married, but I’m waiting for you to show me you care… just like you did back then.”

He thinks for a moment, then says, “Fine. I’ll make the first move.

But just so you know, I’m pretty sure my knees will give out before my heart does.”

She laughs and replies, “Don’t worry.

I’ll still be here to catch you… with a sandwich in my hand.”
